Cassy & Alyssa Gaddis
For seven years Cassy & Alyssa Gaddis have grown up sharing their love of music with those around them. Whether it was local festivals, elderly homes or plays the girls started off young sharing their talent. After singing for events like Relay for Life, Concert for a Cure, Walk for Diabetes and more the girls realized their love for singing with a purpose. Cassy weaves her harmony around Alyssa's melodies creating that incredible vocal blend that only comes from that God given sibling harmony. These young ladies sing from the heart pouring their emotions in every word. Their love for singing comes through every note with a passion that is shared with everyone who hears them.
After years of singing in Springfield Illinois the girls were given a gift so much bigger then them. In May of 2008 Alyssa wrote a song called the “Price of Peace” when she was only 12 years old. The girls are lifelong military kids, both born at Scott Air Force Base, making the song’s message very important to them. State farm sponsored the recording of the song in Nashville & the National Guard got wind of the song and sponsored a music video & movie theater campaign across the U.S. After the music video has received a million views to this day this special song illustrates a daughters struggle throughout a fathers deployment & has become a HUGE HIT!
Following in the footsteps of popular music acts such as Kid Rock and 3 Doors Down are Cassy and Alyssa Gaddis, two sisters with a strong background in music and theater. Kid Rock and 3 Doors Down both recorded music and filmed performances for the Army National Guard. After a 13 state tour working with operation purple camps, gold star families, educators and leaders in all branches the girls spread the true meaning of the sacrifice not only of our servicemen but the sacrifice of our military families as well. After a summer of life changing events and humbling experiences, the girls couldn’t stop with the “Price of Peace.”
In the fall of 2009, Cassy wrote a song called “Make a Difference.” This song tells the story of a teacher of her own that truly made a difference in her life when she was having a hard time in school. It is followed by a doctor who changes the lives of others everyday and a soldier, (her dad) someone who volunteers to serve their country and make the biggest sacrifice. All of these men and women being just ordinary people who have chose to lead instead of to follow. Its challenging the young generation to IMPACT the life of someone around them. ANYONE can “Make a Difference.” Its amazing the power we are given to change the life of another in a positive way.
Following “Make a Difference,” Alyssa was inspired with another great idea. The girls teamed up and wrote the song “Sticks and Stones.” A song standing out for bullying. Alyssa says, “Sticks and stones is my voice for bullying. There was a time I was so angry at everyone and so hateful to the people I loved that I didn’t know how to speak out. I sat down and wrote Sticks and Stones. It was everything that I felt, written on paper. I got my feelings hurt a lot and I was pushed around by my own friends who i had trusted. I thought about that saying my mom always told us. “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will not hurt me.” As I said it over and over in my head I thought it was all a lie. That no matter what people say or do, words hurt. The lyrics “People can bring us down to nothing, when were meant to feel something,” is the line that I lived through. Both Cassy & Alyssa were bullied for being different and knew that there needed to be a song where kids could hear to help their days. This song is to help teens and kids dealing with bullying and making them realize they aren’t alone in this fight
Cassy and Alyssa have moved to Nashville to further their music career! These humble young ladies live to take the stage and share the joy of music with their audience. Their joy is in seeing the smiles of those they perform for. Cassy and Alyssa represent the integrity and genuine humility of much needed role models for today’s young audiences. At the same time they entertain the mature audiences with their amazing performance. Cassy and Alyssa deliver their own unique style and sound that is fresh and inspiring. They love to sing and speak to todays youth about the power we all have to “Make a Difference,” and hope to one day send this message world wide.
The girls have opening crdeits for Eric Church, Gary Sinese, Lee Greenwood and have a whole list of upcoming performances and appearances. Other performance credits include Live Nation Productions, Fox Productions, Can You Duet, FLW Outdoors, and many more.
